Forgent Announces Trial Date for Patent Infringement Case
AUSTIN, TX--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 3, 2005 -- Forgent Networks (NasdaqNM:FORG - News) along with its wholly owned subsidiary, Compression Labs, Inc. ("CLI"), today announced that, at a proceeding on January 31, 2005, in CLI's patent infringement case against 41 defendants involving United States Patent No. 4,698,672 (the '672 Patent) in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Judge David Folsom set Markman hearing on claim construction for April 28, 2005, and left in place the October 2005 setting for the jury trial in the case. The court will issue a formal scheduling order that specifies additional deadlines and dates leading to an October 2005 trial.
