Court Confirms Markman Hearing Date for '672 Patent Infringement Case

AUSTIN, TX, Feb 28, 2006 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX News Network) -- Forgent™ Networks (NASDAQ: FORG) along with its wholly owned subsidiary, Compression Labs, Inc. ("CLI"), today announced that the Court confirmed a Markman hearing on claim construction for March 9, 2006, in CLI's patent infringement case involving United States Patent No. 4,698,672 (the '672 Patent) in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.

The current parties are: Acer America Corporation, Agfa Corporation, Apple Computer, Incorporated (NASDAQ: AAPL), BancTec, Inc., Canon, USA, Concord Camera Corporation (NASDAQ: LENSE), Creative Labs, Incorporated, Creo, Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO), Creo Americas, Inc., Dell Incorporated (NASDAQ: DELL), Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK), Fuji Photo Film Co U.S.A, Fujitsu Computer Products of America, Gateway, Inc. (NYSE: GTW), Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HPQ), International Business Machines Corp. (NYSE: IBM), JVC Americas Corporation, Kyocera Wireless Corporation, Matsushita Electric Corporation of America, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ: MSFT), Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America, Incorporated, PalmOne, Inc. (NASDAQ: PLMO), Panasonic Communications Corporation of America, Panasonic Mobile Communications Development Corporation of USA, Ricoh Corporation, Savin Corporation, Sun Microsystems Inc.
