NetSimplicity Expands Roster of Law Firm Customers

AUSTIN, TX, Sep. 13, 2004 (MARKET WIRE via COMTEX) -- Ten more law firms have recently cast their votes in favor of NetSimplicity's Meeting Room Manager, bringing the company's legal roster to more than 75 practices now using the highly-touted scheduling software. The new customers include Hogan & Hartson LLP (Washington, D.C.), Thompson Coburn LLP (St. Louis), Rider Bennett LLP (Minneapolis), and Hodgson Russ LLP (Buffalo).

Designed for the purpose of scheduling conference rooms, catering and other resources, Meeting Room Manager has found widespread acceptance among law firms since first being introduced in 1994. The software, which was specifically developed for a law firm originally, is a good fit for legal firms because rooms must frequently be booked for trial preparation, case reviews, client interviews, and depositions.

"Meeting Room Manager has proved to be what we needed for enterprise-wide scheduling," said Kathy Krieger, IT Director with Hodgson Russ. "MRM has helped reduce the amount of time it takes to figure out which conference rooms and resources are available in all of our locations." Krieger and her team are initially using MRM to schedule 20 conference rooms at their Buffalo, NY, offices and will soon deploy it to seven other locations around the country. The firm plans to make MRM accessible to all 600 of its employees.

"Proper scheduling is a critical need for most law firms since time and resources are so valuable to them," said Nancy Harris, vice president of software at NetSimplicity, a division of Forgent (NASDAQ: FORG). "Meeting Room Manager enables our legal customers to cost-effectively get a handle on their scheduling processes and provides them a way to track time and costs of their meeting facilities."

Rider Bennett of Minneapolis, MN, is another law firm that recently selected Meeting Room Manager to address their scheduling needs. "The conference rooms are often the front face of the law firm," said Jamie Blomquist, Director of Information Systems. "If a meeting is scheduled incorrectly, or not set up correctly, it reflects on the organizational nature of the firm. We chose MRM to ensure that we service our clients as effectively as possible."
