"This new patent award is further testimony to Forgent's commitment to our intellectual property portfolio and reflects our long history of technology innovation and leadership," said Richard Snyder, chairman and CEO of Forgent. More specifically, the '064 Patent is concerned with generating adaptive thresholds for use in an echo canceller in two-way audio and video systems.

Since its inception more than three years ago, Forgent's intellectual property program has generated more than $105 million in revenues primarily from licensing its technology to more than 50 different companies in Asia, Europe and the United States.
